The January edition of 'Seventeen' magazine has a story featuring '17 Guys to watch!'. Pavel was the only hockey player mentioned. The article featured a photo of Pavel from the 'Rock 'n the Puck' celebrity spectacular he participated in while in Los Angeles. The January issue of the 'Tennis' magazine is a photo of Pavel showing fine court form at the December Kremlin Cup Tennis Event. The January issue of the 'Beckett Hockey Monthly' features Pavel on the front cover. After retruning home to Vancouver from his Russian Dream tour, Pavel rested at home for about a week. He was invited by Wayne Gretzky for a tour of Sweden and Finland with the '99 All-Stars' but sadly declined as he needed some time to rest.
